Terraria out on PS4 next week with Cross-Play, new items, bigger world

Terraria releases on PS4 next week with Cross-Play, new items and a bigger world.

The game is almost "triple the size" of the original PlayStation 3 version, as it comes with a large amount of added content and features.

There are over 1,000 new items including: 10 ores, four wood types, 31 bricks, 12 wings, 29 tinker combinations, 50 paintings, eight friendly NPCs, 15 pets, over 100 enemies, four bosses, and more.

Player will also be able to "pinch" to zoom in and out using the DualShock 4 touch pad, and a World Map companion app for mobile and tablet devices is also in the works. It will be a free download upon release and allows the user to see where they are in real-time in the PS4 version of the game.

With Cross-Play capabilities, those who own either or both of the PS3 and PS Vita versions will be able to transfer saves or participate in cross-platform multiplayer.

Those who own a Vita but do not own the game, will get it bundled for free when buying the PS4 version.

Terraria releases on PlayStation 4 in North America on November 11 and in Europe on November 12.
