"We've put the project on hold for now, but the moment I know more I will let you know," said Taylor in an email.

"I can't go into those details just yet... Let's call it a 'timing' thing."

The RTS was announced in February last year.

Kings and Castles was described as "an epic real-time strategy game for the PC and next-generation consoles," and a "one-of-a-kind experience will let players take on the role of one of three powerful kings who are vying for control of an all-new, original fantasy world."

Key features were said to be the ability to zoom to any level, "incredible maps, and eye-popping visuals that will run on a wide range of systems."

The game was shown at E3 last year in trailer form, and looked far beyond the "having a think about it" phase.

Never more. Maybe. Watch the game's first video diary from last year below. There are 35 more of these on the game's site.
