Zuma, Plants Vs Zombies and Peggle developer PopCap Games has explained why arrogance can kill any attempts to establish a long-running hit franchise. The studio knows a thing or two, as it has several hit franchises under its belt.
The biggest mushroom cloud we’ve seen for a long time: EA’s announced that it’s to buy Plants vs Zombies and Peggle creator PopCap for $750 million.
A bunch of PopCap casual classics – Bejeweled 2, Zuma, Heavy Weapon, Peggle and Feeding Frenzy – are to appear on PSN. Bejeweled 2 is now available in the US, with European version to follow. The other games are yet to be dated. All feature Trophies and PSP Remote Play. Press release after the break.
Acocrding to this, the beta version of the iPhone SDK has been downloaded over 100,000 times since it was launched last week.
