Table Manners teaming up with NHS England for blood donation drive this Valentine's Day

Table Manners: The Physics-Based Dating Game is teaming up with NHS England this Valentine's Day for a blood donation drive.

UK publisher Curve Digital and Echo Chamber Games want to encourage players of Table Manners to start donating blood in partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant’s What’s Your Type? Valentine’s campaign.

Players of Table Manners will see in-game messaging encouraging them to find out their blood type as part of the campaign.

Male donors are especially needed, according to NHS Blood and Transplant, especially those with O-, B- and A- blood types. All donors are encouraged though, no matter your blood type.

The partnership will see Give Blood messaging added in-game to Table Manners in time for launch on PC February 14.

Additionally, all those who visit the Give Blood NHS Twitter and Facebook page will be able to register for a chance to win one of 100 digital copies of the game.

“All our donors are amazing. But we need more than 68,000 men to start donating blood this year," said Nadine Eaton, Head of Blood Donor Recruitment for NHS Blood and Transplant.

"This is not about recruiting as many donors as possible – it’s about getting the right gender mix. We’re thrilled that  Table Manners' tongue in cheek gameplay will reach new audiences and inspire them to save lives.”

To find a location in your area to donate, just hit up the link.

If you are interested in playing Table Manners, in it you will pick a date by swiping left or right and then setting up a meeting - with consequences likely.

Here's the blurb:

You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. You’ve booked the fanciest restaurant in town, put on your cleanest underwear, and your date looks totally unreal. But getting to the table is the easy part. Even the most perfect of evenings can quickly fall apart as you fight against Table Manner’s glorious physics. Before you know it, you’ll be putting out your third table fire with a half-finished glass of pinot grigio.

No one likes a table fire or spilled wine - especially on a date - so do your best to impress.
