SWTOR beta testers rack up 9 million hours over three day weekend

Even before release, Star Wars: The Old Republic is proving hugely popular, attracting 2.4 million registrants to its beta testing.

Speaking at the Global Media and Communications Conference, as reported by Gamespot, EA chief financial officer Eric Brown said 2 million of the registered players managed to get hands-on with the game.

Over the holiday weekend last month, EA noted 725,000 players log in. On average, each user put in 12 hours, resulting in a staggering 9 million hours in total over the course of that test.

Star Wars: The Old Republic launches on December 20, exclusively for PC.
