Sword Coast Legends to feature cross-play between Linux, Mac and PC

Sword Coast Legends, the new game set within Dungeon & Dragons’ Forgotten Realms Sword Coast, has been announced for Linux and Mac.

The party-based RPG is a collaboration between Wizards of the Coast, n-Space, Digital Extremes, and Dragon Age: Origins director and executive producer Dan Tudge.

It will be released simultaneously across both platforms along with PC, and fully supports cross-play on any mix of Windows, Mac or Linux machines. Each Steam key can be redeemed for the player’s platform of choice.

Sword Coast Legends uses D&D’s 5th Edition rule set, and contains a “deep narrative” with a single-player campaign as well as four-player co-op. The cooperative mode features another player acting as the Dungeon Master in real-time and will be released in Q3 of this year.

The game is available through Steam for pre-order at limited and discounted price of $34.99. Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions are also available for pre-order for $59.99 and $239.99, respectively.
