Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is coming exclusively to PS Vita in Europe

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment has been announced exclusively for PS Vita in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. It'll launch in July alongside a free download of Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment HD for digital customers. Not bad, we're sure you'll agree.

In an update on PS Blog EU, Namco Bandai's European community manager Isshak Ferdjani revealed that Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment will launch in July, and that it sees players trapped in an MMO world called SAO, where death in the virtual realm means death in real life. Gulp.

Hero Kirito then embarks on a quest to escape the game alive as he encounters characters from the Sword Art Online light novel, Manga and anime series. Along the way players will complete raids and quests, while battling a slew of monsters using attack combos.

It's worth noting that the free version of Infinity Moment HD marks the first time it has been released outside of Japan, which should come as good news for series fans.
