Swery65's new crowdfunded game, The Good Life, needs a lot of backing in the next 24 hours

If you want to see The Good Life, the next game Deadly Premonition and D4 director Swery65, hit its crowdfunding target, you'll want to donate within the next day.

The Good Life is, according to its page on crowdfunding site Fig, is a 'Debt Repayment Life Simulation RPG' (a very specific description that also applies to Animal Crossing, I suppose), where you play a photographer who moves to Rainy Woods, England, in order to save money and pay off the debt you have accumulated.

Sounds like life, right? Except that, at night, all the villagers - yourself included - turn into cats and dogs.

From the page:

Why do they turn into CATs/DOGs? Not even they know the reason... For when morning comes, they lose all memories of their feline adventures. What in the world could be causing all of this?

Are these CATs/DOGs transformations connected to the reason why Rainy Woods is known as the happiest town in the world?

Questions are only met with more questions...

The game will actually be divided into two versions, a 'cat' version or a 'dog' version, depending on which creature you prefer.

Swery65 set up his new indie studio back in January, and revealed this new project back in August. Unfortunately, though, the crowdfunding target might have been set a bit high.

At the time of writing the campaign has just 23 hours left to go, and still needs just under $1 million in pledges. $514,572 has been pledged of the game's $1.5 million goal. A $29 pledge gets you the game on PC eventually, while a $39 pledge gets you a PS4 version.

Going over the tiers, they seem to have added a few - when the campaign launched nearly all the tiers above the 'get the game' tier were too expensive to consider - but if you'd like to get behind this unique game director and his team, now's the time to do so.
