Both core Danganronpa games, lovingly repackaged for PS4.
The Danganronpa series debuted on PSP and made its way to Vita, but garnered more western attention due to recent Steam releases. Now NIS America is bringing the first two core games to PS4 as Danganronpa 1&2Reload, which is an excellent idea.
The port bundle will launch in early 2017 in both Europe and North America.
In addition to the two core entries Trigger Happy Havoc and Goodbye Despair, there's a spin off-game on Vita called Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, and a third entry is currently in the works ahead of an anticipated January launch in Japan on PS4 and Vita. If Danganronpa 1&2 Reload does well, we can probably expect New Danganronpa V3 to come west sooner rather than later.
Danganronpa is a mystery visual novel series which should appeal to fans of games like Ace Attorney and the Zero Escape series, as well as fans of violent murders.
You've probably seen images of the Danganronpa series mascot, a remote controlled bear called Monokuma who locks the students of Hope's Peak Academy into a deadly game: they must commit and get away with murder to escape the academy. The plot then goes utterly bananas in the best traditions of visual novels, which is rad.
