Survival horror classic Siren released for PS4

Siren, a PlayStation 2 survival horror game, is now available for PS4 customers via the PlayStation Store. The re-release comes with a variety of new features, including Trophies, 1080p up-rendering, Shareplay, and Vita Remote Play.

The story follows ten characters trapped in Hanuda, a remote Japanese village unhinged from time and space. The locals are slowly being transformed into "shibuto", undead husks which serve a cultist and his dark god. The story is presented out of chronological order over the course of three days, as the ten survivors use a psychic sightjack ability to keep track of what's happening to other nearby characters. Sired was adapted into a manga in 2014.

Siren's original release garnered mixed reviews at launch, but has since become a cult classic among survival horror fans. Being able to find a new audience certainly isn't a bad thing - if you're interested, you can buy the game here.
