Super Stardust dev to make a PS4 announce at gamescom

Housemarque will have PlayStation 4-related news to share at gamescom this month.

UPDATE: Sony XDev has tweeted us an extract from its statement on the matter, which reads, "Any speculation on the nature of our new titles is a wild guess at best". Make of the below what you will.

ORIGINAL STORY: Responding to a query on Twitter, the developer said it will have finally have something to say about the PS4 during gamescom.

Fans are expectantly waiting further word on the Super Stardust spiritual successor the developer announced in May.

Finnish developer Housemarque is also responsible for Furmins, Outland and Dead Nation. Dead Nation 2 is in the works and the team is also working on a tie-in to The Walking Dead.

It is not a Sony-exclusive developer but has close ties with the platform holder. It was confirmed as a PS4 developer when the system was revealed in February but has been silent on the subject.

Gamescom runs August 21 through 25 in Cologne, Germany.
