Super Smash Bros Ultimate's fourth DLC character might be from an SNK game

A trademark on Nintendo of Europe's website has likely given us a clue about the next Smash Bros fighter to be announced.

Twitter user and "Smash nerd" PushDustIn has noted that a copyright notice for SNK Corporation has appeared on the listing for Super Smash Bros Ultimate Challenge Pack 4 on Nintendo UK's website, which seems like a very strong hint at where the next announced fighter could be coming from.

The page is currently down, which lends some credence to the idea of this being information that was not meant to come out.

If it's an SNK character, there are several potential series that this DLC could be pulling from. Samurai Shodown? Fatal Fury? Ikari Warriors? The King of Fighters? Metal Slug? We know that SoulCalibur 6 is getting Haohmaru for its next season of DLC, so he doesn't seem like a likely contender. Masahiro Sakurai is a fan of The King of Fighters 95, so we wouldn't be surprised to see one of its cast pop up.

The third Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC character will be Banjo-Kazooie. The fourth and fifth DLC characters have not yet been properly announced.

There have been rumblings of an upcoming Nintendo Direct where the fourth character will be revealed - hopefully we won't be waiting too long to find out the truth.
