Geoff Keighley announces four-month long Summer Game Fest

Geoff Keighley has announced Summer Game Fest, which will span four months and include "news and events" from a variety of publishers and platform holders.

Summer Game Fest will be an all-digital event featuring breaking news, in-game events, and free playable content.

The event will run May-August and feature updates from publishers such as 2K Games, Activision, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Blizzard, Bungie, CD Projekt Red, Digital Extremes, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Take-Two's Private Division, Riot Games, Sony, Steam, Square Enix, and Warner Bros.

Additional publishers will be announced in the coming weeks.

“In these uncertain and challenging times, it’s more important than ever that video games serve as a common and virtual connection point between us all,” said Keighley. “SGF is an organizing principle that promises fans a whole season of video game news and other surprises from the comfort of home."

As part of the Summer Game Fest, Steam, Xbox, and other platforms holders will offer access to playable, limited-time demonstrations and trials of select game content.

The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition, as previously reported, will run June 9-14, with other platform dates to be announced.

You will be able to keep track of all the announcements via publisher owned and operated channels on Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and more.

Keighley will also host special pre-show and post shows for publisher events. And don't forget: he will also host gamescom: Opening Night Live on August 24.
