Streets of Rage 4 release date seems to have be outed by the Australian eShop - UPDATE

Looks like the release date for Streets of Rage 4 posted by the eShop was wrong.

A listing on the Australian eShop for Streets of Rage 4 noted the game was coming out on April 23. Not so, apparently, as the publisher has said the date is incorrect.

Instead, the game is still "coming soon." Once a firm release date is announced, we'll let you know.

Original Story

The Australian eShop may have outed the release date for Streets of Rage 4.

According to a Nintendo eShop listing in Australia, Streets of Rage 4 will be released on April 23 (via resetera).

As of press time, an official announcement from Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games hasn't been made, but once a confirmed date is provided, we'll update this post.

That said, the game is also slated to arrive this spring not only on Switch, but PC, PS4, and Xbox One at launch.

Upon release, you will be able to enjoy two-person online co-op and up to four-player offline co-op. You can also expect new characters and returning favorites.

It also features music from previous Streets of Rage games and contains 12 stages.

We previewed Streets of Rage 4 last year, describing it as “disgustingly good”. “Streets of Rage 4 is bloody amazing – and it’s not all about nostalgia for the original games,” wrote Alex at the time.
