Street Fighter 5 update introduces a new character, environmental stage KOs, and more

There's a Street Fighter update coming this week and it's a doozy.

street fighter 5 Urien

Capcom is releasing a Street Fighter 5 update this week that adds new content for season pass holders and regular players alike.

First up on the Capcom Unity blog is the introduction of Urien, Vice President of the Illuminati, who you can purchase with Fight Money or on Steam and the PlayStation Store. Season pass holders will get access to him as soon as the update drops.

The new Daily Targets will make it a lot easier for you to earn Fight Money if you don't want to shell out real cash for additional content.

Season pass holders can also look forward to colors 3-10 and battle costumes for all confirmed DLC characters. For those without a pass, premium costumes will include colours 3-10. This is retroactive, so if you've already bought a premium costume, you don't have to buy another after the update.

We'll be seeing a Vs. CPU mode at last, and environmental stage KOs coming into play on some of the stages. Stat tracking is going live which is something the more hardcore players will appreciate.

Capcom is also implementing a bunch of fixes that you can read more about on the blog.

The Street Fighter 5 update will be released on September 22.
