Strafe launch trailer is straight out of the 90s

Strafe has a trailer that would not look out of place if it were released in the 90s to celebrate some Doom clone.

Devolver has released the launch trailer for Strafe, the rogue-lite shooter very much inspired by 90s Doom. Strafe has been leaning heavily into its 90s aesthetics and this trailer is no exception.

As far as gameplay, there's nothing here you haven't seen before, though enemies appear to stagger a little bit from hits than I remember them doing in the early footage.

The trailer also shows very quick glimpses of some of the hidden areas that look vastly different from the main offering. These will probably be unlocked through Easter eggs and secrets.

Strafe is out May 9 on PC, and PS4.
