The Stim glitch is back in Call of Duty: Warzone... again

The Stim glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone is back, and it’s causing more havoc than ever in the Activision battle royale.

The Stim, an equipment item you can use to restore health to your character and renew your sprint, has always been intended as a last-ditch item. It’s something you can use to escape a tricky firefight or get out of the crossfire.

But players exploiting the item have long been a problem, and it looks like they’re back (it’s bad timing, too, because they’ve appeared alongside a new invisibility bug).

The stim glitch appeared last year a couple of times, and re-appeared again in January 2021 after the merge with Black Ops Cold War. Now, it seems to be in use once again. A Reddit thread showing a player spectating the abuser behaving oddly before triggering the Stim glitch has popped up, with many calling for the Stim's removal entirely until a permanent solution has been found.

The player uses the ‘Throw Back’ grenade prompt to trigger the Stim glitch, spamming the Equipment item to survive in the gas (which is usually fatal).

This example of the glitch being used in the live game isn’t the only example we’ve seen this week, either (thanks, Eurogamer).

Will Activision and Raven Software once again fix the glitch – and will unsportsmanlike players once again find a way to enact it? Given the way things have gone so far, it’s certainly likely.
