State of Decay gets R18+ classification in Australia

State of Decay's delayed Australian release has the greenlight thanks to an R18+ classification.

The new classification was awarded yesterday and appears to have earned Australia's highest content rating due to high impact violence.

The zombie survival game was originally refused classification due to inappropriate depictions of rewarding drug use, but was resubmitted with revisions labelling the substances in question as vitamins.

The Classification Board seems satisfied with this change, as State of Decay score only "mild impact" for drug use. And sex, somehow.

Meanwhile, it contains moderate impact themes and language, and very mild impact nudity. You are now fully informed.

State of Decay is currently an Xbox 360 exclusive but is expected on PC eventually.

Thanks, Jason.
