Stardew Valley is getting split-screen co-op on all platforms

The next update for Stardew Valley will include split-screen co-op.

Update 1.5 has been in the works for Stardew Valley for quite some time, and we now know one of the new features it will contain.

Split-screen co-op is coming to all platforms, but only PC will support up to four players.

Details noted by Twitter users in the tweet include the addition of desert farms, new chests, a telephone stand, torches on fence-posts, and more (thanks, PCgamesN).

Update 1.5 will also contain a significant new piece of end-game content and banana trees.

The last big update to the game, 1.4, introduced the movie theater, new ways of interacting with your spouse, fishing ponds, gameplay improvements, and more.

Creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone is also working on two new games set within the Stardew Valley universe.
