ESL also announced today it has opened new facilities in the US, and WCS America will be held in its newly-built ESL TV Studios in Los Angeles, California.

The 7,000 square foot venue will double as a broadcast studio, and as an event location.

"ESL has always been a great partner for Blizzard eSports. They've consistently produced high-quality and entertaining events such as WCS Europe and the Intel Extreme Masters series, and we're looking forward to seeing them bring their expertise with StarCraft 2 eSports to WCS America," said Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime.

WCS America Season 2 kicks-off this month with the online qualifiers, and the first live event from the new studio will take place in June.
