StarCraft 2 patch 2.0.4 adds most Heart of the Swarm features bar units, campaign

StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty will receive a major patch just before Heart of the Swarm releases, adding a pile of new features and content from the expansion.

As promised last week, the patch adds an all-new user interface with new menu screens; Clans and Groups in-game; new replay features; improvements to the Editor; newb-friendly matchmaking options; a "players near you" option; and a customisable observer UI.

In a blog post, Blizzard said the patch will enable players of both releases to play together.

What the patch doesn't include is themeat of the Heart of the Swarm release - a pile of new units and an all new campaign continuing the story of Kerrigan.

Heart of the Swarm also adds enhancements to existing units, a new leveling system, new multiplayer maps, tilesets and rewards such as skins, dances, portraits, and decals. It's due on March 12, and is the second of three expected StarCraft 2 releases.
