Star Wars Battlefront celebrates release of The Force Awakens with double XP

Watch the Star Wars movie and return home to play Battlefront and enjoy double XP.

The latest Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, opens up this weekend in most parts of the world, and EA is making sure you don't return home to play anything but Battlefront.

To celebrate the release of the movie, you'll be earning double XP in Star Wars Battlefront, on all platforms throughout the weekend. Because the game turns your earned score into credits, this means you'll also be getting double the usual amount, which you spend on Star Cards or Traits, and emotes.

The event starts today, December 18 at 1am PT through Monday, December 21 at 1am PT.

Battlefront recently received the Battle of Jakku DLC for free, which is set 29 years before the events of the new movie.
