Star Citizen’s face tracking webcam tech is the stuff of nightmares

During the most recent CitizenCon, Cloud Imperium Games announced that FOIP face tracking was coming to Star Citizen.

Now the update has landed, people are hooking up their webcams and playing the game’s alpha to test it out. The results will haunt your dreams for all eternity.

The tech is obviously pretty impressive, but it opens up your in-game avatar to making some of the most demented faces you’ve ever seen. Here’s a video, from YouTuber Robbaz, where he tests the tech out.
