Star Citizen made $1.3 million this weekend by selling spaceships

Star Citizen has now crowdfunded over $50 million dollars, after a new line of in-game spaceships went on sale last Friday.

The snappily named "2945 RSI Constellation Lineup" is a selection of 4 spaceships that sell from between $150 and $350 dollars.

The $350 ship is called the Constellation Phoenix (pictured above), and at time of writing 569 have been sold. It's limited to 5000, so there are likely a lot more sales to come.

Before the line of ships was launched Star Citizen was making $40,000 dollars per day in crowdfunding, but $1.3 million was raised over the first weekend these ships were on sale.
