Square Enix has "plan for the future" with Deus Ex, says Eidos Montreal

Eidos Montreal has said there is a plan in place for Deus Ex's future within Square Enix.

The roadmap plan was mentioned by Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada, according to EM's Marce-Andre Dufort.

"I would like to, but I don't know what the future is right now," Andre Dufort told Eurogamer when asked if Eidos Montreal would like to do a new game in the series.

"I know that Wada-san said he had a plan for the future, but right now we're celebrating the success of the game, since it's the first game of the studio.

"I don't know if you've seen the credits of the main game, but there were a lot of production babies, so I think people want to spend some time with their families and take some time off. That's pretty much where we are right now."

Deus Ex: Human Revolution released as Eidos Montreal's first game back in August. Story DLC, The Missing Link, will release later this month during a gap in Adam Jensen's story in the main game.

The rest of the Eidos Montreal team are currently working on a new IP, as well as Thief 4.
