Spencer confirms Kinect support for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary

Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer has confirmed in a GameSpot interview that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition will have some sort of Kinect support.

He referenced the game as part of a line-up of titles shown during the company's E3 presser which will support the motion controller.

"Core focus for us in our press briefing this year with Kinect actually came from two sides," said Spencer in the interview in Los Angeles.

"As a first-party, we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse. Even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration.

"The interesting thing with the amount of original content that creators came to the show with - things like what Mass Effect did, Ghost Recon - we didn't know that was going to be on our stage when we started our E3 planning."

It comes as Spencer made comments during E3 that all future first-party titles would come with support for the motion controller in some form.

Despite confirmation of Kinect support for Halo: CE Anniversary, he wouldn't drop any more details on if Halo 4 would also have support following Microsoft's E3 presser.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary launches on November 15 for Xbox 360.
