Soul Sacrifice confirmed for western release

Sony's announced on both PlayStation Blogs that Soul Sacrifice will come to Europe and the US for Vita.

Keiji Inafune's first big project since leaving Capcom was announced for a Japanese release last month. It'll launch in Japan by the end of the year.

The RPG's, similar in make to Dark Souls, is being made at Comcept, Inafune's new studio, in collaboration with MarvelousAQL and Sony Computer Entertainment.

"What I wanted to illustrate in this game was a “reality blended into a fantasy world," said Inafune.

"The word 'fantasy' normally points to a story that is fictitious; however, with Soul Sacrifice I wanted to illustrate a 'reality' within a fantasy that wasn’t sugar-coated.

"It’s not about focusing on the strange, but to flip the commonly held concept of what a fantasy theme should be with the concept of 'reality'."

There's a video interview on the game below. No date for the western releases yet, but it will be at E3 next week.
