Soul Calibur V trailer drops story hints

If this Soul Calibur V trailer from Comic Con is anything to go by, CyberConnect2's work on storyboards for the game is pretty sterling.

Siliconera reports CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama announced his studio's involvement with the game during Namco Bandai's panel at Comic Con.

The .hack developer is also involved with Capcom's upcoming brawler Asura's Wrath, and is behind many of the fighter games based on the Naruto franchise.

It's not clear how much input CyberConnect2 has on Namco's upcoming fighter beyond storyboards, but no Naruto characters will appear in Soul Calibur V.

Alos, Namco has released the trailer shown at Comic Con, which ends with more clues to the mystery of new character Z.W.E.I. - ten bucks on "uses two swords and one of them is deeply disturbing".

Soul Calibur V is expected on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in January next year.

Thanks, Dark!
