Sony now taking requests for PS4 Camera adapter for PS5

For those who want to use their PSVR to play PS4 supported games on PS5, you will need to use a Camera adapter.

Sony has detailed how you can request a free Camera adapter for PS5 in order to continue playing PS4 PSVR games supported by the new console.

The PlayStation Camera adaptor is used to connect the PS4 PlayStation Camera to a PlayStation 5 console. This allows the use of PlayStation VR when playing supported PS4 games on a PS5 console, including games that require PlayStation Move or PSVR aim controllers.

An adapter is required, as the new HD camera for PS5 is not compatible with PSVR. You will need to use the PS Camera for PS4 with a PlayStation Camera adaptor to use PSVR on PS5.

Anyone who owns a PSVR headset qualifies to receive an adaptor with a limit of one per household.

In order to request an adapter, you will need to input your PS VR processor unit serial number, first name, last name, email address, shipping address, and phone number. You can find the PSVR serial number on the back of the unit, and it will begin with the letter C, M, or P depending on your region.

Once you have provided the proper information, you will revive a confirmation email and can expect the adapter to ship within two weeks.
