Sony President admits he hasn't seen final PS4 design

Are you annoyed with Sony's inability to show the actually the PS4 at Wednesday's New York reveal? Well, don't be. Even Hiroshi Kawano, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, has indicated he doesn't know what the final console will look like.

Kawano was asked about the physical PS4 design by 4Gamer in an interview translated on Kotaku. His response, quite humorously, wasn't particularly conclusive.

"If I'm being honest, I also haven't seen its final design. Even the controller we showed today, I saw the final design around yesterday or so."

While Kawano will have seen plenty of working designs, the final console still eludes his gaze. He also suggested the final Dualshock 4 controller design probably didn't pass his eyes before the big reveal.

"I've seen numerous prototypes from when it was still codenamed 'Jedai', and I heard that an onboard touch pad was in the final specs."

Let's hope the new console is too heavy to carry.
