Sony patents trackpad device, is probably for PSP2

Patents registered by SCEA last month included one for a trackpad device. That sounds a bit familar, doesn't it?

According to Akihabara News (via Edge), the patent mentions a "handheld device with two-finger touch triggered selection," with all of the documents mentioning it will come in a two-screen form.

"Comprising: a case having first and second major surfaces; a visual display disposed on the first major surface; a touch interface disposed on at least one of the major surfaces."

Two weeks ago, VG247 posted shots of a PSP2 dev kit, which showed said trackpad on a PSP go-like device.

PSP2 developers, however, have since reverted back to a kit similar in form to the original PSP-1000.
