Sony launches new gaming headsets, free Medal of Honor *update*

sonygaming

Update: A Sony rep has told us the new gaming headsets will release in September and are for PC gaming only. We therefore presume it will be the PC version of Medal of Honor which is being used in the promotion.

Original: Sony is to launch two new gaming headsets, each of which have been designed in response to extensive user research that shows what different gamers want from the ideal headset.

The DR-GA500 comes with support for Dolby Pro Logic IIx, helping it recreate 7.1ch 3D surround effects. Sony says this makes it perfect for FPS games.

Sony's other headset, the DR-GA200, has less features and therefore will be for those on a smaller budget, although it still promises to have superb sound quality.

The biggest news in all of this is from October 15, both the DR-GA500 and DR-GA200 will come with a free copy of EA's Medal Of Honor, which we are guessing means these won't come cheap.
