Sons of Anarchy game "definitely" happening, is the "evolution of gaming"

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has said that the TV series is making the much-requested jump to video game form.

"I cannot give you any more details, but I will tell you that there will definitely be a Sons of Anarchy game," he wrote on Twitter. "And it's pretty f**king awesome."

Sutter's comments almost seem to suggest the project is at least at the prototyping stage, but he may just be discussing a developer's pitch and promises.

"No, it's not a board game," he assured fans. "First person, action adventure. HD graphics. It represents the evolution of gaming. I'm hard just typing this," he said.

It's probably too early to get excited just yet. Sutter said in early 2012 that he was in talks with a "major" company to produce a Sons of Anarchy game. He said shortly thereafter that he was aiming for a full console title, not a "slapcrap" in-browser tie-in.

Although the talks apparently went well, nothing materialised, and Sutter was observed informally asking Rockstar to take on the project. By the end of the year, Sutter said the project was dead in the water - at least for a time.

Sons of Anarchy is an American drama series originally aired on FX about the lives of a motorcycle gang. Six series have been produced to date, with a seventh and final season expected, and a prequel touted.
