Sonic the Hedgehog: PS4 & Xbox One 2015 report was "incorrect," says Sega

Sonic the Hedgehog was looking set for a PS4 and Xbox One debut in 2015, following a photo taken at a German toy fair last week, but Sega has since stepped in to drop a deuce on the rumours.

It came from this photo, which showed Sonic the Hedgehog's future release slate and new cartoon show.

Now, in a statement to Eurogamer, a Sega spokesperson wrote, "Sega is yet to announce details of upcoming console video games for Sonic the Hedgehog or further details regarding the new Sonic CG TV series. The recent information coming out of Nuremburg Toy Fair was incorrect.
