Some Tier 1 missions too personal for Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Although Medal of Honor: Warfighter is being developed in close consultation with real Tier 1 Operators, Danger Cloise isn't touching on some of the group's most well-known missions.

Official Xbox Magazine, as reported by GamersThirst, asked executive producer Greg Goodrich whether the game will include the capture of Osama Bin Laden, the most high profile Nave SEALs operation in recent years.

“That’s not our story to tell,” he said. “That’s family business to the Tier 1 Operators."

Goodrich seemed to suggest that Danger Close has had to do a bit of trial and error in exploring what content sits well with their military advisors.

“It’s been an interesting exercise learning what’s okay and what’s not okay [to portray in the game]," he said.

One a semantically-related note, one of the Operators working on the project praised the game for its depiction of family-oriented soldiers.

Warfighter is due for release in October, on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
