Sniper Elite 4 pre-alpha gameplay looks wonderfully brutal
A new level of polish makes the X-ray kill cam even more gruesome.
Eurogamer got a peek at the pre-alpha gameplay for Sniper Elite 4 and it looks glorious.
The usual bullet kill cam is sticking around, but two new ones have been added, perhaps as an incentive to find more varied ways of killing people - although trusty nad shots will always do in a pinch.
The shrapnel kill cam lets you see the carnage caused by explosions or environmental damage, and you can gleefully watch bits of debris plunge into your enemies' extrmeties.
The melee kill cam gives you an X-ray view of any poor sod on the receiving end of your fist or knife.
Meanwhile the smallest map, shown off in the video above, is three times the size of the largest map in Sniper Elite 3, while the largest map is apparently five times as big as its counterpart in the previous game.
There's a host of other new features - like booby trapping bodies - so if you've got 10 minutes to spare, have a watch.
Sniper Elite 4 is out later this year on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
