UPDATED: 'Smash Bros. 6' Namco job post claims new game is coming to Wii U & 3DS in 2015

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS is the fourth iteration of Masahiro Sakurai's brawler, but it appears that Namco is already hiring for a follow-up, due to release in 2015.

UPDATE: Our local Nintendo rep has declined to comment on the story below, taking a no comment on rumour or speculation stance.

ORIGINAL STORY:

We're treating this one as rumour for now, as the latest Super Smash Bros. isn't even out yet, but Namco's job post can be found on Japanese recruitment site Tenshoku.

When run through Google Translate, which is not to be considered 100% accurate, the post states that 'Smash Bros. 6' is, "expected to release in 2015 "Smash Bros. 6" Nintendo and Namco Bandai and 3DS at Wii-U for the production it is done. The project and is composed of about 120 people present, we are planning to hire up to 200 people."

The hiring drive does suggest that Nintendo is perhaps ramping up production of the current Smash Bros. in the run up to its launch, or as DualShockers has suggested, could suggest the annualisation of the series.

Further down, the post explains how the team will be divided, and adds, "Job description of "Smash Bros. 6 game development projects, the programmer will be engaged as. [Specifically] the game of Development Department team are finely divided. Character in charge of production, stage production in charge of stage mechanism responsible, 3D program in charge of motion control in charge of games in charge mode, mini-games in charge - menu screen in charge of menu around in charge of UI."

It's an odd one, considering that we're yet to hear about a fifth Smash Bros. title, let alone a sixth. It's possible this is just a codename or working title however.
