Slime Rancher gets a retail launch for consoles

Slime Rancher, the charmingly-addictive game of raising gelatinous slimes, just released a physical edition at retail stores.

Slime Rancher is an fun little game about using a vacuum gun to breed and collect various adorable slime creatures. It's super goofy, charming, and wonderful, and likely a project that wouldn't have existed without an early access edition. Thankfully, Skybound Games agreed to publish a physical retail edition so players who prefer discs won't miss out.

In case you missed the digital edition, Slime Rancher is an open-world game where you attempt to run a successful... well, slime ranch. Along with constructing physical structures, players must collect, feed, and raise slimes to produce currency that can be used to fuel additional upgrades. Each slime has unique traits, and requires a specific food source to benefit your farm.
