Slightly Mad raises $660K in crowd-sourced funding

Slightly Mad Studios has raised $660,000 for its crowd-sourced racer, C.A.R.S., and the firm hopes to raise a total of $5 million for a two-year development cycle. Stock in the game can be purchased through the World of Mass Development Project for as little as $5 to $100,000. The firm believes the project can raise as much as $53 million with Slightly Mad keeping 30% of the profit, and the rest going into the pockets of all who purchased stock. Over 40,000 people have backed the project since it stated back in October 2011. Thanks, GI.biz
