Skywind project is a Morrowind port using the Skyrim engine

The Skywind project, which uses Bethesda’s Creation Engine, aims to bring The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind into the present kicking and screaming. Personally, we are pleased as punch to hear it. Ya gotta love dedicated modders.

One such dedicated modder who goes by the name of Eloth, has posted some early screenshots of the project - which while still work in progress - looks rather nice and has us excited.

Eloth isn't new to the Elder Scrolls modding scene, as he participated in the Morroblivion project which ported Morrowind into the Oblivion engine.

He has help with Skywind this time out, and a call to arms has been posted. So if you are good at modding and have plenty of time, you may wish to help the lads out.

Plans to port Oblivion into the Skyrim engine are also part of the project, and you can get a glimpse of this in the video below featuring the Imperial City.

It all looks a bit brighter than what we are used to with Morrowind, but still, a graphical upgrade can only be a good thing.

Thanks, PC Gamer.
