Skyrim is coming to PlayStation VR

Skyrim! In VR! On PlayStation!

A trailer debuted during Sony's E3 presentation showing Skyrim in full VR, with the player casting spells, fighting dragons, and exploring with the VR headset.

It looked like a visual downgrade, but that's to be expected. Otherwise, it looks like the full game, just in VR. Whether or not this will actually be the case remains to be seen - right now all we have to go on is this video - but it's a fine win for PlayStation VR. Just yesterday, Bethesda also announced Doom VFR for PS VR, so it seems that they're supporting the system well.

It's unclear whether this will be available as DLC or as a separate mode for those who already own Skyrim: Special Edition on PS4. In any case, between this and the Switch version of Skyrim, it's a big year for Skyrim fans.

Skyrim VR will be available for PlayStation VR in November. It has not been announced for any other VR platforms.
