Skullgirls: Beowulf chosen as final DLC character

Fans voted in Beowulf as the fifth and final DLC character to be added to Skullgirls following its tremendously successful crowdfunding campaign.

Shoryuken reports Lab Zero Games revealed the new addition during a livestream - yet another male addition to the one-time all-female cast. Hopefully we'll have some better art of the new inclusion soon.

The developer hosted two "seasons" of polls to choose two of the five characters included in its DLC plans from a pool of over 30 designs; the first season was won by Eliza.

The other DLC characters were nominated by Lab Zero itself, beginning with Squigley, the modest sole target of the initial campaign, and followed by Big Band and Robo-Fortune.

Thanks to the generosity of backers, all but one of these characters will be accompanied by a stage and story.

Skullgirls is available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC port expected.
