Dawnguard is the first official add-on for the much-loved RPG.
The expansion sees Vam Harkon return to power. He's trying to use the Elder Scrolls to "end the sun itself," according to Bethesda, which seems rash.
Choices boil down to chopping Harkon's face off or becoming a bloodsucking mentalist yourself.
Dawnguard features a new faction questline and fresh locations. There's an extensive breakdown of the new features on OXM.
Once you'll installed the content, you’ll start to hear rumors about the Dawnguard from guards in major cities if you're over level 10. You may also be approached by a courier who will give you a note related to the Dawnguard.
If you're below level 10, or you wish to find the Dawnguard on your own, you can seek out the Dawnguard headquarters roughly southeast of Riften. It can be reached by a small cave through the mountains, according to Bethesda.
