Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter hits $1.1 million, new rewards offered

As promised, a Linux version of Shadowrun Returns is on the way - but Harebrained Schemes has promised even more goodies, exclusively for the project's backers.

In a tremendously excited video update to the project's Kickstarter, Harebrained Schemes celebrated passing the $1 million mark, which added a whole new city to the game's design as well as the additional port.

For its next goal, Harebrained promised that if funding hits $1.5 million, it will construct a "Backers Only" mission which will tie together the plots of the SNES and Mega Drive games.

What it won't do is promise a pile of new features, expanding the project's scope.

"Having hit this milestone there's a temptation now to add a bunch of features and set a big goal for what those features would cost to fund - and we're not gonna go there," Shadowrun creator Jordan Weisman said.

"We're not gonna add a bunch of features on top because we think we've really go the right feature set here.

"What we want to do is continue to add more depth to the game. So that means more characters, more locations, more props, more stories - that's the world we want."

The Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter has 13 days remaining, and has recently added some new rewards.

Thanks, Blue.
