Dino shooter Second Extinction coming to Xbox Game Preview this spring

After having been initially unveiled on an Xbox stage, Second Extinction is finally coming to Microsoft's consoles.

Second Extinction, the co-op dinosaur shooter from System Reaction, which launched in Steam Early Access last October, will finally be making the jump to Xbox's equivalent programme: Xbox Game Preview this spring.

Though Second Extinction does not have a solid release date, the developer confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox One, as well as Xbox Series X/S. Players on Xbox Series X will be able to play in 4K at 60fps.

Second Extinction, as you may recall, was actually announced at an Xbox event in May last year, suggesting it would be an Xbox exclusive of some kind. Obviously, seeing as it's coming to Xbox before other consoles, it is, though it is a bit strange that it took this long for it to arrive on the platform it was announced for.

Over on Steam, the game currently enjoys a Mostly Positive review rating, even if the player base appears to be fairly small, with only 118 players at peak over the last 24 hours.
