Sea of Thieves datamine reveals ship customisation, kraken, new weapons, more

The closed beta for Rare’s upcoming pirate sim Sea of Thieves has been plundered for precious booty. In this case, that means a ton of new details on the some of the final game’s loot, unlockables, creatures and enemies.

Reddit user m4rx posted a big list over on /r/Seaofthieves of everything they’d found over the weekend.

Sea of Thieves is infectious open-world fun and a joy to explore on your own, with friends, or even with strangers.

As with all datamines, if you don’t want to be spoiled on some of Sea of Thieves’ surprises and secrets, now's the time to walk the plank. Otherwise the full list is below.

A couple of cool things stand out. Obviously being beset by a malevolent kraken as you sail with your crew of friends sounds like a blast, and that there seems to be some variety in the weapons you can equip is interesting too, since what we’ve seen of hand-to-hand and gun combat so far has been limited.

How deep the “PlayInstrument” riddle mechanic goes remains to be seen as well. We already know that you can play multiple songs and form bands, so this could be really cool too.
