SCEE: Vidzone is world's "biggest dedicated music video streaming application"

SCEE's claimed that PS3's Vidzone is the "biggest dedicated music video streaming application in the world," with more than 2 million users having watched 200 million videos in its first six months.

Vidzone's reach covers 18 countries. The service includes interviews and behind-the-scenes footage as well as videos.

London, DATE: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) revealed today that, in its first six months, streaming music video service VidZone™ has delivered more than 200 million videos via PlayStation®3 (PS3™) to more than 2 million fans who’ve downloaded the VidZone application in 18 countries. VidZone gives you free music videos on demand to rewind, pause and fast-forward, create your own playlists with for every occasion and even to stream to a PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) via remote play

The VidZone team credits the service’s popularity to its content, covering thousands of Independent labels as well as major record labels, and its exclusives including world music video premieres, more than 100 sessions and interviews as well as behind the scenes and live footage from artist including Groove Armada, Jamie Cullum, Kasabian, Placebo, The Prodigy and U2.
