PvPvE shooter Scavengers gets a new gameplay trailer and technical test

Scavengers, the upcoming PvPvE shooter from Midwinter Entertainment, will host a technical playtest this month.

Midwinter Entertainment has released a new gameplay trailer for free-to-play strategic shooter Scavengers. You can now also register for the upcoming technical playtest weekend.

If you participate in the playtest weekend, you will get a first look at new character designs, as well as newly revealed gameplay features that include large-scale PvEvP battles.

These battles feature hundreds of advanced AI enemies and creatures across an expanded 9km2 map.

The playtest will take place on the weekend of September 18-20 and you can register here.

Announced in 2018, Scavengers is a hybrid of sandbox-style PVE and class-based PVP. Here, you will form squads of three and compete for survival across a frozen wasteland.

Midwinter is headed up by former 343 Industries developers, with ex-Halo creative director and studio head Josh Holmes at the helm.

Scavengers will be entering closed alpha and closed beta in 2020, before the full release in 2021 on PC and current-gen consoles.
