Savant – Ascent announced for PS4 by D-Pad Studio

Savant – Ascent, which was greenlighted through Steam last year is making its way onto PlayStation 4, D-Pad Studio has announced.

Savant, a real life electronic musician, is who gamers will play and his music will be featured in the title.

The game is described by the developer as a "beat-pumping dodge-and-shoot action game," with unlockable tracks where players will be tasked with shooting magic missiles and defeating robots: varying stages, "powerful abilities" and boss fights included.

Players can also change the background music to any of the unlocked tracks at any time, with each track changing the gameplay.

Ascent will "change over time" as the team adds elements from future albums composed by Savant and additional soundtracks, new levels, modes, abilities and secrets are being considered.

The firm's other project, Owlboy, is also still in development.
