Samurai Shodown out this summer sometime before EVO 2019 kicks off

The new entry in 2D fighter series Samurai Shodown is expected to release sometime before August 2.

SNK's Samurai Shodown is currently without a firm release date, but considering it's part of the EVO 2019 lineup, we have an idea of when to expect it.

As reported by Event Hubs, the game was announced during the EVO 2019 lineup reveal live stream as one of nine, main titles for the Las Vegas event.

EVO 2019 kicks off on August 2, so expect the fighter to arrive on PlayStation 4  at some point before the tournament.

Samurai Shodown was a super popular fighting game in the 90s, and hasn't make an appearance since the 2009 anthology was released for PlayStation 2 and Wii.

The newest entry in the series was announced at the Tokyo Game Show  last year for an early summer 2019 release.

Once we get a firm release date, we'll be sure to let you know.
